Mark Duggan is an award-winning producer, editor, and web designer who creates content that connects organizations and people.

He works closely with public media, government, non-profits, and commercial enterprises to represent themselves online and convey important information.

As a web producer and editor, he’s worked with several NPR stations, including KUNC, WBHM, and KSUT. In his role as the architect, designer, and managing editor of KSUT.org, he’s been recognized with five statewide awards for “Best Radio Station Website – Small Market.”

A skilled designer and information architect, Mark works with various content management systems to create compelling presentations, journalism, and digital marketing materials. He’s a practitioner of human-centered user experience and creates accessible content by following WCAG AA 2.1 principles, clean design, and plain-language writing.

He’s put his training to work as part of a team tasked with completely rebuilding the government website kingcounty.gov. He’s also an in-demand designer of custom WordPress sites.

Mark is also a highly experienced copy editor and broadcast journalist. As a reporter, he spent 15 years covering various topics and delivering in-depth, sound-rich storytelling.

He’s the recipient of three Edward R. Murrow Awards (including a national) for feature reporting and documentary production. He eventually leveraged that background and recognition to become a news director, managing editor, and radio program director.

In his distant past, Mark also wrote and produced radio commercials, which serve him today when he works with clients on digital marketing and messaging.

Mark lives in Southern California, near the Coastal Ranges and the ocean. In his free time, you’ll find him producing his radio show Box of Visions, collecting vinyl, and fussing over the perfect cup of coffee.
