Durango Bluegrass Meltdown
Project: Web Design Rebuild
Role: Project Manager, Information Architect, UX Designer
Team: Me, Durango Meltdown management

Goal: Initially, to fix usability, typographic, and layout problems on an established website. Now, we’re redesigning the site using a new host and page builder interface (Divi). As part of the project, I’m reimagining the site’s architecture, visual design, and UX.

KSUT Public Radio
Project: Digital Content Strategy
Role: Product Manager, Information Architect, UX Designer, Website Administrator
Team: Me, KSUT management and staff, NPR Digital Services and IT staff.
Tools: Grove (CMS), Adobe Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom, Google Suite, Slack
My work: I am currently (2024) directing all aspects of KSUT’s website, including design, editorial strategy, and analytics.
As project manager for the site, I led an 8-person team through a complex CMS migration, serving as scrum master and steering work sprints.
My work also included creating a new design and content features.
Result: The site was recognized by the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association as the Best Station Website in 2023, 2022, and 2021. The redesigned UI and navigation helped triple site traffic and time on site.

KSUT Four Corners Edition
Project: News Strategy & Editorial
Role: Project Manager, Managing Editor
Team: Me, KSUT management and staff
Tools: Grove (CMS), Adobe Audition, Photoshop, lightroom, Google Suite, Slack, Flourish, Data Wrapper
Goal: To create a radio newsmagazine for an NPR station.
My work: I designed a framework for news segments and flexible wraparound narration. I also contracted a logo designer and a local composer (for the show’s theme music). My role also included creating branding and marketing for the show and guiding it to on-air and online launch. Post-launch, I served as the program’s managing editor.
Result: The program served the station’s mission to provide news
coverage to underserved communities and in a region with a lack of news outlets.
